The desire to start this business came to me as I contemplated making a display piece for a wargame, I wanted to design and make some custom pieces that I couldn’t get otherwise.
So I investigated the options for laser cutters and played around with various pieces of software to find one that I felt best suited my needs.
I’m now at a stage where I am starting to produce custom items for people and getting a few prototypes ready for general production and have a swathe of ideas for more things that are already being designed.
All this is around my 9-5 job and looking after my family, so it has taken a while to get to this stage. But I have never felt this excited about a “job” before. So I’m going to slowly work up a customer base and get some more funds to invest in a better and larger laser to allow me to create more designs and larger pieces.
